Since 1992 the Bartlett 4th of July Festival has been organized, managed, promoted, and orchestrated by a large group of community minded volunteers. This volunteer group has worked in collaboration with the Village of Bartlett, Bartlett Police Department, Bartlett Park District, Bartlett Fire District, and Public Works to provide a multi-day festival to celebrate the Fourth of July in the Village of Bartlett.

The festival is self-funding and profits from the previous year are reinvested into the festival for the next year, however a $12,000 contribution from the Village of Bartlett toward the cost of the fireworks display makes the fireworks display a highlight each year.  Additionally, we count on the support of the Bartlett Police Department and Fire Department in keeping the festival orderly and safe for all the attendees.

The Bartlett Park District supports the festival by providing the grounds without charge, managing and supervising the adjacent parking lot, and providing the garbage removal free of charge.

History: The committee was formed in August of 1992 by a few residents who wanted a "hometown celebration" that would create memories for the children of the community. The event has expanded over the years to include something for everyone. New members are always welcome to help carry on the tradition.
