Our festival is organized and operated by an independent, volunteer-run nonprofit committee, separate from the Village of Bartlett. While the Village, Park District, and Fire District generously contribute resources, personnel, and support, the festival relies on sponsorships, donations, and event revenue to cover its operating expenses.
We don't maintain a large financial surplus. Every dollar we raise goes toward covering festival expenses and preparing for the following year's celebration. That means an unexpected financial setback can have a significant impact on our ability to continue delivering the festival our community knows and loves.

When the Weather Doesn't Cooperate, Our Community Still Can
The 2026 Bartlett 4th of July Festival faced extraordinary challenges as severe storms brought days of heavy rain and flooding to our festival grounds. The weather disrupted festivities, damaged equipment, and destroyed approximately 60% of the fireworks intended for our celebration.
Despite these setbacks, most expenses still had to be paid, including a substantial fireworks deposit. For a volunteer-run organization operating on a carefully managed budget, unexpected losses like these can affect our ability to plan and fund future celebrations.
But the spirit of the Bartlett 4th of July Festival is bigger than any storm. With the continued support of our community, we're looking ahead to 2027 and working to make the next celebration one to remember.
